Flea control for other pets

FireStorm May 07, 2007 09:03 PM

I have dogs and cats in addition to my snakes, and I was wondering what flea control products would be safe to use. The other animals never come into contact with the snakes, but they do come into contact with my clothes and the furniture. We normally use Frontline. Would that be safe? Are there any precautions I need to take?

Thanks in advance,
Shelly

Yes that is safe, I use that on my dog and cat. I always just make sure not to touch the dog or cat on the spot for at least 48 hours.. Just do no use sprays or carpet stuff that you vacuum up, someone not to long ago lost quite a few snake from that..

Frontline is fine, we've been using it on our numerous dogs and cats for as long as I've had snakes. It's the cheaper brands that you have to look out for, and like the previous reply said, the stuff you put in the carpet or spray.

Just use common sense (don't touch it for 24-48 hrs, etc) and you should be just fine!
