Wondering if this is OK to feed a dragon. I have checked a couple of care sheets and can't find anything on it. Thanks.

I researched it. I can't find anywhere that it says it's safe and it is not listed on UC Davis's list as a safe plant for human consumption. Therefore, I wouldn't try it. Seems to me that the spines would certainly be a detriment anyway.

I can't think of a reason thistle "herb" wouldn't be safe, but as BDlvr stated the spines could cause problems. Trying to remove them all just to feed your beardie hardly seems worth the effort.

Thistle covers a pretty broad range of plants, but as already indicated, the spines can be a problem. Just on that alone I also don't recommend feeding it to a dragon. If you have the scientific name for the plant, it will be easier to give a more accurate answer.

Milk Thistle seems to have some beneficial properties as a herb as an antioxidant for humans to help protect the liver and for menstruation but if this will be the same for reptiles I do not know. Thus, no point risking giving it to dragons anyway.
