Speckled Racer

PeterVE May 07, 2007 09:19 PM

Does anyone know the laws in regards to the speckled racer (Drymobius margaritiferus)? If they are illegal to own or just to collectr or what?

Thanks,
Peter VE

Drymobius margaritiferus ranges into Central America. There are legal exports from Central America but it is my understanding that the ones from Texas are protected. There has been a few people that have attempted to breed them over the years but I do not recall any hatchlings offered up. Dan Scolaro might be you best bet for hatchlings, he seems to have a knack for central american colubrids.
