Hello everyone. I have aquired another Boa. This will make number 2 for me. The first one is the baby that I posted a few weeks back.
This new girl was kept by someone that didnt have a good grasp on husbandry etc etc.
Stuck shed and a few, what look like rats bites to me. Im treating the wounds with neosporin and i want to give her a few days to settle in before I start soaking her to help the stuck shed. The only thing he seemed to have right was the size of enclosure. Although not perfect but atleast she is not in a 40 gallon breeder or something stupid like that.
She has a great attitude and seems like she will come along nicely. She is roughly 4 1/2 to 5 feet in length, really rough estimate and around 11 .ilbs in weight. Apparently she is only 2 or 3 years old.
Anywho I just wanted to share my story, the short version, of my new girl and post a few pics. I really hope that if others get a chance to rescue an animal and give it a better life they take the chance. I really wish there was some way to inform the mass's on proper husbandry practices etc.
Here are some pics.
