Is this a jungle?

MontyM May 08, 2007 11:29 AM

I have seen quite a few pictures on line, but still am new to the whole jungle morph. I have the opportunity to get this guy locally but it is being advertised as a poss jungle 100% het albino. Thanks for all the help.

Not a Jungle. To me it looks like someone trying to pass off a regular boa with a few odd patterns as a morph to someone who isn't sure of what Jungles are.

Any time I go to a small show, or browse online classifieds there are always people trying to pass off nothing for something, just to make a few dollars. These people have no morals and do not deserve business. Sorry for the rant.

I'm going to have to agree with Chris. Not a Jungle. Regardless of pattern, Jungles have a very distinct coloration. Those that own jungles can vouch for that statement. It may be het albino, but 95% unlikely that its a jungle.

I know all too well what you mean by people trying to pass animals off for something they arent. I know a few people at this show I go to that have been doing that one of which I refuse to do buisness with or even talk to. I pay more money for my feeder rodents but i would rather do that than do buisness with a shady dealer.

I dont think that is a jungle at all. Here is a female I picked up from PK, who is the guy you would want to talk to if your looking for a Poss Jungle.

yes she was sold as a poss, that is the theme of this post so I did not feel the need to reiterate it.

Even if she does not prove out you must admit sher color is exceptional for a two year old and will produce so great looking babies in a few years. On a side note that fact that both her parents were jungles and she continues to stay light and not darken up makes me think otherwise despite my bias.

When compared to the snake in the original post she does stand out.

Thnks for your comment Greg
