That is a Texas Ratsnake, formerly(Elaphe o.lindheimeri). They are extremely variable, and some are much prettier than others.

That is a fairly typical dark looking individual, and the park location is not too far away that the snake couldn't also have a bit of gene-flow from the Black Ratsnake just to the north of that park location.
