Waco, Texas Area

Hello fellow herpers, I'm new to this forum and wanted to see if there is anybody in my area whom would like to go on the hunt with me and my room mate and or wife. I've been herpin for about 15 years and loving every minute of it. We are new to the area but have already had a few good hunts. The last hunt my camera broke down so I dont have the pics but here is the list of what we saw.

5 southern copperheads
4 Texas rat snakes
2 rough green snakes
1 D.O.R. Timber rattler (Lifer for me) To bad it was D.O.R.
1 D.O.R. Louisiana Milk Snake (Lifer for me)
Tons of other D.O.R.s mainly copperheads and ratsnakes

I was so mad that the two lifers I saw were D.O.R. not to mention I'm sure there both hard to find around here.

My camera has been fixed and I will post the next hunt with pics. Anybody around here that can give me tips on milks or coral snakes in my area would be much appreciated.

Herp, Even if your Camera is dead you should borrow one to get pics of the Timber. Could be a county record or something for that area.

Congrats,

Steven

I figured it was a rare find for the area but I wasn't going to turn back for a camera after seeing that. I wanted to keep the hunt on. I went out last night to see if the storms around our area would brew something up for me on my birthday but no such luck. I think the temp dropped to fast. There were a ton of frogs out but that is to be expected. I will go out again tonight and if I see something I will be sure to get pics for you guys. For the time being here are a few pics from last week.
