fecal sample from aquatic turtle?

alimx Aug 14, 2003 08:50 PM

How exactly do I go about getting this? It's the last part of the 'new turtle' check up I had the vet do, so I'd like to make sure my little guy is parasite-free. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

feed your turtle in a separate container full of some warmer than usual water, let him/her sit for an hour or so in the water after feeding and *wa-la* if you are lucky the poop should be there and hopefully solid enough to scoop up and take in to the vet... Good luck!! This is how I do it anyway, there may be other ways out there that I dont know of.
