Hey,
been reading some of the threads here pertaining to food. It seems as though most of you rec supplementation w/ calcium and a vitamin mixture. how exactly do I accomplish this? I've seen terms like "gut loading" and dusting. My Easterns get earthworms every other day, occasional slugs (yum!)and get some tomatoes once or twice a week. Once in a while some banana. I've not had any luck getting them to take anything green. any advice? I'm a little woriied about insufficent calcioum. THanks

JOE

I supplement by coating the bugs with either the vitamin powder or the calcium powder. Stick the bugs in a bag with some powder and shake. To gutload, you simply feed the bugs nutrient rich foods, basically the things you would like your boxie to eat (collards, mustard greens, dandelion greens . . . the list goes on).
