....poor amphibians get no credit ever.

Here are two northern gray treefrogs I found in the act. Actually, I was photographing the calling male and the female swam over, nudged him and they started doing it right there! It was really cool.

captives, I remember asking my mom if I could set up a terrarium in the living room for the frog (caught in sussex NJ), the frog lived 9 years no lie and my mom one day looked at the frog and said I only let you set that up in here cause I figured it would die quickly like when my brothers caught and kept them, I cried when he died . I wasn't a boy anymore when he died either (woosie). Now they no longer can be possessed in NJ, even though the Northern Grey Treefrog is quite abundant in NJ the southern subspecies is endangered. Since the State can not tell them apart (neither can I, except when I actually catch them at the extreme parts of their ranges)because they are identical except for their calls and DNA. So they just simply banned them from individual ownership. Loved that damn frog.....

...because of the range! I forget the NJ range of each gray treefrog...but I know they don't occur in my area.

About keeping them....I hate to say it but the laws are poorly enforced and one can probably easily get away with keeping some.

However I decided what my next herp is eventually gonna be(hint: my user name lol).

how is the state to know and or believe where you say it was collected, and I have been inspected by the state when a freind of mine got bit by a Western Diamond Back rattler, so they know me by name actually lol and said they may pop on by kinda thing , so everything heres always legit.
