What is breeder size for western hognose?

Can any experience hognose breeder please tell me what the minimum size for both male and female westerns is? Please specify length and weight for both sexes.

I think if you try to breed a female under 20 inches you are waisting your time.

I actually spoke to a breeder at the San Diego show who showed me a 2002 female western and said that it laid 4 eggs that year. She looked to be about 15 inches.

I have two females that are 20 inches or more and they weigh about 140 grams. Would you breed these females? Also what about the size of males?

Heck yeah I would breed them. I would feed them real well though. I'm not sure how big a male has to be to breed but I would guess if he is at least a year old it could happen.

I had 5 females last year in the 160 gram range that all layed fertile eggs.
