Need Advice!

I'm breeding my own rats and added a new female to my collection Tuesday. I have been keeping her seperate from my other rats just in case. Well last night I noticed little bugs around the cage she was in. I put her out in the garage so it wouldn't spread to the other rats, if it hadn't already. I looked around google last night and I THINK that they might be rat lice.

Any suggestion on how to tell if they are lice or mites?
If they are mites will this spred to my snakes?
I read that a rice grain sized drop of Ivemectrin will get ride of them. Does anyone else reccomend this? And if so should I treat the other rats too? Is it safe to treat the pregant moms?

Sorry for the novel but I HATE bugs and want them GONE!
