Is this a sign?

BRB_Russ May 10, 2007 12:42 PM

My BRB is loving his water bowl lately, He is in there all day, like literally, yesterday i woke up and he was in his bowl, then when i came back from work he was in his bowl. Admitidly, my Temp and Humidity gauges fell and i misplaced them (they were stuck to the tank) Is this a sign of low humidity? or do i just have a Snake that loves to soak. I even had a paranoid though of mites, like he is soaking to get rid of them. . . . . .

Any ideas or am i just being paranoid?

Russ... it could certainly be a humidity or temp issue, as well as possibly a mite thing.. OR.. it might just be doing what BRB's do..

Mine soak sometimes for days at a time.. and then I will go weeks without catching them in the bowl too. Double check your temps and humidity.. and do a visual inspection for mites. If everything checks out, it is just soaking cause it wanted to.

Ok, he is on his second day of soaking. . . The only time he has been out is i took him from his boal and fed him a prekilled Small Rat. As soon as he finished it he just went right back in the bowl. . . .

Thanks for the advice, ill go try to get some temps tonight. . .

Yes, definately check all the numbers, temps and humidity if you can, but don't stress out about it, my BRB's all soak from time to time, they just seem to like it!!

Prime example is one of my cage pics:

That's three BRB's in two water bowls. BTW, they seem to like water bowl sex!!

Yea i was pretty exited just because my girlfriend dragged me to this Ceramic painting place (GAY) but i ended up making a water bowl that loooks like a turtle for my BRB which looks sweet!

Ill post pics when i get home..

My preference on water bowls is glass, they're easier to clean and you can see anything stuck on them. Just my $0.02
