Are bloods particularily "spiny" ?

Finnigan May 10, 2007 04:25 PM

I only have 1 blood python, and he is my first. He is well fed, an a consistent eater. However, his spine protrudes more then my other snakes. It would give the impression that he is underweight, but I can't imagine that's the case.

Have you found that the spines on blood pythons stick out a little more then other snakes?

If you can't see a bloods spine it is more than likely an overweight animal. You will see slightly different builds between animals, but as long as it is eating good and looks robust it isn't anything to worry about.
