this is the first time i have ever had an egg get covered with green mold so far into incubation.
i have a clutch with only two weeks to go and one lone egg has all of the sudden been completely covered with a carpet of mold.
the egg has not lost its shape or size.
i have never seen this except in a case of an egg that was bad from the start and then they collapes soon after.
anyway have a great season everyone.

I had two eggs in my first ever clutch last year get blue mold on them. Referring to Love's book, I used a Q'tip and some Scope to clean them off. The fuzz wiped off relatively easy and left behind some black/gray marks on the eggs themselves. I figured both were lost, but left them in the incubator anyway. They hatched out just fine.

Usually, blue-green mold is an indication of infertile eggs. They also are moist as if the egg is perspiring. If the eggs are infertile, you'll know within a day or two of being laid. I have had eggs go bad just before hatching. When opened, the babies were fully developed. That turned out to be something in the vermiculite. I picked up a fresh bag, setup some containers and moved the eggs. The rest of the clutches hatched out fine. Just lost a few eggs before I figured it out with some help from this forum. Last year I saw mold again on one egg about half way through incubation. One egg, but I was really stressing over the possibility of a repeat. I used anti-fungal foot powder around the egg and on it after wiping it off with a q-tip. I saved the egg.
