Retic Feeding Regimen/Temps?

usshorts May 11, 2007 08:01 AM

I was wondering what actual feeding regimens the folks with lots of retic experience follow.

Do you stick to the once a week pattern that many caresheets advise?
Also, is there any evidence, or has anyone had issues when/if they've tried feeding juveniles more than once a week?
Last question. What temps are you keeping your retics at? I ask because it seems reasonable there would be a correlation between higher ambient temps (within reason of course) and rate of digestion.

By the way, I ask not to powerfeed to get to breeding size quickly. But because mine look so hungry and have defecated just a couple of days after a big meal.

I'm hoping to learn something from those who've tried variations on their own. So please don't regurgitate (I thought that was funny based on the questions in this post) material you've read.

Thanks in Advance

I feed my few month old retic every 4-5 days. That's what I was advised by the Vivarium where I purchased her. Temps are between 81 and 94 during the day, 76 and 88 at night.

That sounds like a reasonable regimen. Thanks
