Local Foliage Okay??

MJCAdawg Aug 14, 2003 11:06 PM

I've got a temporary living space, which is one of those "old fashioned ice cream" buckets, and i set it up , and put a sweet gum maple leaf in there as a hiding place. It came out of my front yard-- there's not any kind of risk of toxin in a maple leaf or anything that could harm some frogs is there? I didn't think there would, that's why i put it in there, but i could be wrong, which is why i posted this. Thanks

Local foliage is O.K., as long as it is pesticide free. Maple is not toxic, and if it were, the frogs don't eat it anyway. Just keep it fresh and replaced as it rots and deteriorates. Oak leaves last the longest.
