My leopard gecko Fedi hasn't been eating and no stool for three weeks. I went to the vet two weeks ago and they told me it was probably just worms and gave me a de-wormer. I gave her first dose right after and the second dose yesterday . I've been hand feeding her chicken and beef baby food, some appetite stimulator and water daily. I've caught her drinking for the last couple days in the evening but she is still not eating on her own and no stool. I'm really worried that it's something else but the vet said she is too small (6 grams) to treat for protozoa because if the dose is wrong it could kill her. There are no other vets in this area that will take lizards. I totaled my car a week ago so I'm dependant on friends and the bus till my car is fixed so I can’t drive to Columbus, which is two hours away. Is there anything else I can try. Should I wait to see if this medication works? Should I try to make the vet give her the other medication or there anything else that may help her that I’ve not tried. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

in my experience, that appetite stimulater stuff is no good. maybe it was just my brand, but who's to say it isnt the same brand you have, i forget what brand it was. it had a newt on the bottle though. all i know is that the day after i gave it to a gecko, she died.

If your little gecko is eating the baby food and drinking water, just give her another couple of days to see if she poops. It sounds like you and your vet are doing all the right stuff. Just keep it up and hope she comes around. Good luck!
