What is the recommended size of cage for a full grown cornsnake? Mine isn't full grown yet, but I wanted to know for future reference so that I can get the proper size cage so that she is comfortable.

Most people recommend at least a 20 gal long, or its equivalent.

size is a 20 long aquarium. That would be 30 inches long by 12 inches deep (wide). A basic rule of thumb is to figure that the length and depth of the tank when added together should equal or exceed the length of the snake. Of course, bigger would be appreciated by the snake, probably. My full grown corn (who is only about 42 inches long at 8 years of age) is in a cage that is 36 by 24 inches.

I tend to go overboard. This is Hope's cage and it measures 4x2x2. She is about 3 1/2' and I am sure she appreciates the extra room. It cost about the same or less than a good sized set up would cost. It cost about $130

Did u make that cage yourself cause i like it and if u did where did u get the how to for the cage making cause i would love to have the instructions for it
