Wait till Daytona?

Dave763 May 12, 2007 07:51 PM

I want to add a male pied to my collection. Would I be better off to wait and get one in August at Daytona than to buy one now?(Kingsnake ads)I read somewhere that prices are better at shows.
Is the amount of white a pied exhibits random, or a trait that is passed on?

including Daytona, looking for a piebald and het, among others. I found my best deal in Chicago, from a breeder who was also at Daytona. Seemed like several breeders were more willing to deal in Chicago than they were in Daytona. Maybe because Daytona is the first big show of the year.

Hey Kathy, Is the Chicago show as big as Daytona? Did Bill take those wooden frogs up there too? They were cool.

But there have been some years that we did as well in Chicago as we did in Daytona. The Bob Ashley shows are really nice - they tend to draw a crowd of real reptile keepers rather than mostly families looking for a place to take the kids for the day, as some shows do. I think I might enjoy Chicago more than any other show because we usually do pretty well there, and a lot of our old friends attend, but it is not quite as hectic as Daytona.
