ginter May 13, 2007 01:18 PM

Has anyone other than thom managed to breed these guys yet? Last I heard even the two proven females failed to breed for the past two years.

Are people generaly doing well with them?

Great question John, I was wondering the same thing. My female's first shed of the season was in early April. I did not see any breeding activity when the were put in with my male and they are now entering another shed cycle. One female looks a bit thick but I do not think she is gravid.

is much the same as sjohn's. I have two females that just shed for the first time this year. One of them looks to be gaining weight, but I'm not sure if she's gravid yet. I've seem some breeding activity, but haven't seen them locked up yet.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyone else??

My male escaped for the last 2 months. I found him, fed him a couple of times and introduced him to the female. He really showed no interest. I do have a friend that produced 13 eggs so far though.

Of all the snakes that could escape it had to be lineaticollis....right, that sucks. glad to hear that you got him back alive. I had a male escape for about two months several years ago. The cats found him for me but only after giving him some scars. What is your friend going to ask for his offspring? It is a snake that could come down in price from initial offerings and become more affordable and subsequently more widespread among collectors which I consider to be somewhat bittersweet.

I said the same thing, of all things that could escape! Oh well, I am glad that I got him back. I actually aquired another male in the meantime, just in case. Now I have more to look at and thats just fine with me.
I don't know what he's going to ask for the offspring, Ill have to ask. I know I have about 10 pairs spoken for when I produce them, I'd imagine the same can be said for his. I can't say enough good things about them. They are incredible snakes , I just wish there were more genetically diverse animals.

eggs _seemingly_ on the way. Way heavy female from Thom's year one that went thru the standard colubrid cycles.

Will supply more info when it arises. Photos promised.

I also would like to hear about pricing?!?!?
