277 This Tuesday, Anyone?

chris_mcmartin May 13, 2007 06:48 PM

I'm considering making a quick trip down 277 Tuesday evening (only till midnight at the latest). I hear a front may be coming through Wednesday, bringing more rain, so I think the chances of good herping MAY be greater prior to that occurring, in this case (given all the recent heavy rainfall).

Also, what is the opinion on the cuts just north of El Dorado? Lots of cuts within a few-mile span, but not stellar habitat in the surrounding area; however, it's something I could take a quick scan on if folks say it's worth a look.

i've shined the cuts N. from sonora on 277 several times, never seen a thing. I'm not sure if I've done any N. of El Dorado, can't even remember cuts there. I have found annulata just S. of El Dorado on the hwy.
Good luck on Tues.

In all fairness, if it were good on 277 I wouldn't have left early enough to hit the cuts N. of Sonoroa.

Cuts north of Eldorado = emoryi and maybe a milk if you're lucky. Joe's a raging optimist LOL.
