Breeder who can safely ship to Europe?

HittoriHanzo May 14, 2007 09:34 AM

There's a guy in another forum from Italy who's looking for a breeder who can ship there. He's already got at least three adults, one of which I think is a hybrid of some sort. I directed him toward Doug Dix at DFF but I suppose he cannot ship to Italy, anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Sorry! Not too many people here ship internationally. I'm sure there are a couple around, I just do not know who.

He could post a WANT ad in the classifieds and ask if anyone would ship to him I suppose. I also know it costs a small fortune for all the legal fees / permits and such to do it.

Thanks for thinking for me, I've suggested to him that he join this forum and have reccomended these classifieds but I have no idea how much gets lost in translation. I'm guessing the price won't be an issue based on his current collection. I'll keep looking for him, but having just exhausted the internet as a resource for finding one of my own (and learning about them in general), I'm probably going to have to rely on someone else's reference. BTW as a moderator, would you think it's okay to post one of his pictures that he posted on another forum until he finds his way here. It's got a bit of orange in the face but doesn't look like Varius to me I think it might be some sort of hybrid. If I can't and anyone's interested to see them they're on the RZ chuckwalla forum. Thanks again Eve.

The species of the pictures are deffinatly no varius. That are not common in Europe, I know only 1 person who has them. The species on the pictures are Sauromalus ater, or common chucks. The orange color is a local form.

Hey buddy unless you had his permission your not allowed to just take someone eles pic and post it here. People freak out about that, and it creates problems all the way around. Best to let people go and see them, or wait until the guy does get here and can post hiomself.

Your very kind and thoughtful though, LOL

I figured as much. Hopefully he posts his pics here, one has a very odd coloration, I'd like to know the locality if it is an Ater. I need to post some pics of my own, Bowser just finished his first shed and is growing quickly. He still never fails to eat all that I give him, I have a feeling by the time he's grown one trip a week to get greens won't be enough.
