I decided because she was found on Wall St, I'd thought of this name, then a friend of mine had this name as a first thought..
we're going to call her Wallinda.
I got a better pic after the rain Sat.
I looked in Pritchard's Encyclopedia of Turtles, she's marked exactly like the T.o.luteola in the book.
She's a sweetie who sat next to me & watched my every move yesterday as I rearranged cubby hole/homes for them.

Oh my gosh, yesterday I was so proud of her.
I was out doing something.. I forget what but I wasn't in the pen. I looked over into it & there she was all by herself sitting in the water dish. She has so made herself at home already.
This morning she ate every worm I handed her. She's no dummy!

I know people are concerned about quarantine. I quarantine until I get the first poop sample. If it's clear & they look healthy then I don't worry about it. In all the years I've worked in vet clinics and kept turtles, I have never seen a local box test positive for parasites. One vet I know claims it's because the heat kills any eggs in the soil. In 15 years he's never seen one test positive, in 10 years my vet hasn't either. So I think he may be right about that.
Now if this was a turtle from another region of the country or a tortoise from another part of the world, things would be different.
