None that I am aware of, are you aware of any?
No, although I wouldn't mind being the first to record one. Heck, I could start my own locality =^) Since there are precedents of alterna found away from hills/cuts (the stretch of 118 west of Elephant Mtn comes to mind), I'm surprised there are no records from WH.

to a BP officer that I chatted with late one night on the side of 385, he had seen a DOR. He said that the night prior to our chat he had seen one of those grey and ornage snakes dead on the road between the cuts.
I'm sure they're there, and I intend to invest some time this season in proving it.....

For what its worth I still have a real nice lepidus from there that a friend of mine caught in 1993. Its buckskin ground color which is different than any other lep I've seen from Brewster county. I've heard the story of the Border Patrol officer finding the dor. Of course it could of been a longnose instead of an alterna. Unless its confirmed by a real herper I tend to be a raging skeptic. The good thing about hunting 385 s. of Marathon is that you usually see a lot of movement, albeit mostly atrox and other commons but at least it keeps you alert. Good luck if you ever put in the time there. BA
