"Fluffy" Hasn't Eaten In 155 Days!!!

Dan6971 May 14, 2007 02:39 PM

"Fluffy" has still not eaten since December 10th (155 days). He shed two weeks ago and I tried feeding him a few days later, but he is still uninterested.

What can I do? He is becoming thin and I'm not sure what else to do.

With all do respect, it seems like Fluffy doesn't get much "alone time" (putting it mildly), so you may need to back off a bit. If one of my snakes won't eat, it's usually because they require something from me that I'm not providing. After taking a step back, I'm able to alter my husbandry techniques to suit the snake instead of repeatedly trying the same thing. It was interesting to discover that one of my JCP's wasn't eating because he wanted me to wash the rat off of his rats. Now he eats F/T/W rats every week even in blue. Give him space, re-examine your husbandry, simplify his enclosure, and listen to the first advice you got from AAR. I believe that worked for you last time. Good luck....and let your snake be a snake....you need to make the changes.
