These next couple are of a nice big gopher tortoise, and a six-lined racerunner with a nice blue belly. Nature took care of lunch with oranges, tangerines, and hundreds of blackberries. The last couple hours of our day, we were soaked by a nice shower. We did a bit of road cruising and found an eastern mud snake squashed. We stopped to look him over, and found another fatally injured snake. An eastern ribbonsnake which had his vent area demolished. Sadly it looked like the people had swerved in order to hit these gems. All said and done we herped for about 12 hours. We finally got some of that much needed rain out here, so we're off again tonight to see what's up and about. Happy herping, TJ
