I have this 2004 lavender looking female sunglow that looks totally different than any sunglow I have ever seen.
Any insight on what I may have here.
Thanks for you comments

Beautiful sunglow first off.
I think the pink saddles could be from it being both high red saddle color and high melanin. Of course the melanin is muted out because of the albino gene but we know from observation that where black would have been, white appears. I think the reason why we dont see this color scheme too often is because it has taken selective breeding to get the high colored saddles/tail splotches, often by reducing melanin to more effectively breed for red... making the chances for high red and high melanin relatively low early on. IE you hit the polygenic jackpot.
All speculation of course!

Beautiful boa! Do those picts accurately represent the colors? Stunning! Put me on a waiting list for some of her future babies. Scott
Scott:
Thanks for the compliment.
I plan on breeding her to my albino Motley as early as next year.
I can't wait to see what her babies look like.

She is awesome!!
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of another color phase of albino... It may be a long shot, but retics and balls have em.
You maybe taking pics of the next HUGE thing, I hope so,
best of luck with her....
PS what better to produce possible hets or possible lavenders
then motley's!

Awesome. I have some DH for Sunglow that I produced last year and are developing lavender on them. The father is a Kahl coral phase albino and the mother is a Ihle salmon. I posted the most lavender colored one that I have which is a male, and I have 2 more males & 2 females not as colorful but you can still see it developing.
