About a year ago I tried my first dart frogs 2 Auratus froglets about 5-7 months old, I'd say they were about the size of your Tab key on your computer keypad. I did a year of research and was confident that I knew how to take care of them. I placed them in a 44 gallon corner tank. They had coco bedding some live plants, wood, and a coconut shell for shelter from Black Jungle Supply. Temperature and humidity seemed fine, all was good for a few months. I fed them both species of wingless fruit flies, dusted with calcium powder. I went exclusevly to the larger flies as they were easier to work with. Both frogs ended up dead in the end, one about 2 months before the other, but both the same way. The frogs had their moth open and what seemd to be something inside, a grey ball-like substance. I determined it to not be a rock, but did not know what to do. After 3 or 4 days both were dead. After a quick autopsy, it seemd that it was their insides (stomach) that was sticking out of their mouths--what happened?
