question on housing....

Well I finally got my BP sexed, she is female. This Sept I want to buy a male at the Buffalo, NY herp show (I am assuming someone there will be selling CB subadults, hopefully.) Now the thing is; can I keep them caged together? I have a reptile tank that's the size of a 60-gallon long aquarium, with air vents in the sides and a clear divider in the middle; I'd be using this tank for the 2 of them. Til then, my female is still in her old 20g tank.
So what's the safest way to house a male and female ball? I do hope to breed them one day, but my female is not fully grown yet and I want a male that's about her size (2.5 ft.) Thanks for any advice!

For the female, to 'insure' breeding, keep separate until it's time, then introduce the two...
If you have a divider, make sure the two cannot see each other, as this will sometimes stress them out.
