Wait,

they don't have pine shavings on the ground in Malaysia?

What about newspaper?

haha

no pine shavings, cypress mulch is better, needs big clean water bowl for swimming and pooping, needs high humity, should eat at least everyday twice a dy even better dusted crickets super worms small mice or rat pups sm peices of cooked chicken or turky. should be in at least a 40 breeder sized cage high heat 100degre basking spot no lower than 70 degress at night. these guys at this size catch upper respatory infections with a stiff breze.he looks a little thin, if u see any fluid aroud nose or mouth and sitting with eyes closed get him to vet or experenced herper fast needs baytril.

That was the longest sentence I've ever seen. Nice! Cooked chicken or turkey? Not necessary, stick with the others. And try to keep your basking spot above 100, closer to 130.

ive had him for a while he hasnt had any problems as far as respitory issues. I have him in a 6ft long 12 in wide 3ft tall tank. kitty litter box on one side as a water dish other side some wood to bask on with a 120w ceramic bulb. I also have a uv light on him during the day. I dont have him in aspen anymore changed it to bark. I was just wondering which type of water it was since it isnt just one type of water and different waters get different sizes. hes only about 2ft atm.

Hello Jackjebus,
You should try to archive search this forum for water monitor info. You have your work cut out for you if you want your lizard to stay alive longterm. Water's are one of the most demanding of the monitors and truthfully, few people in the US actually have the facility to properly care for even one, let alone a group. I do wish you and the lizard the best as I really think you like it alot and are trying to care for it well. Malaysian waters are one of the larger salvators and it will grow the length of your cage(or better) will have a girth close to the width of your cage and when arching(standing on all fours) it's back will hit your top or come close... This is all of course providing that your care offers the provisions for it to live up to this. If you have more questions, please ask- really, that is an attractive lizard and I'm sure it wants to do well... Best to you- Mike
