Second clutch of season

FunkyRes May 15, 2007 06:04 AM

Not as good looking as my first clutch - I'm pretty sure the top left egg is bad, and some of the others look questionable.

But we'll see who the flies lay on ...

Cal King (LTC normal banded male, banded amel female) - 14 is a decent clutch size. She laid 12 last year.

I might get one more clutch - my third adult female though so far hasn't copulated. The male (unproven) I've tried her with has shown some some interest, but no copulation. If next attempt doesn't result in copulation I'll try a different male, but I suspect it's not going to happen.

I've never seen a snake egg in person. I picture them being soft, like a hard boiled egg without the shell. What do they feel like?

Kind of leathery... and like a stale marshmallow.
