Most alterna nutz have at least ONE good story related to the pursuit of alterna. It could be a trashed vehicle, bodily damages suffered, an unusual capture or other such story. It might be fun to set up a section for the posting of such stories. It is from such stories that the history is preserved.

I agree, there are lots of stories out there. Many of them from so long ago that the youngsters of today's Kingsnake.com probably were not even born yet. Could be interesting to relive some of the "old days" with some of the "old farts". It might even provide a laugh or two and like suggested by John, archive some of the stories so they are not lost forever. Like John, I also have a few I could contribute. Such as my first time meeting a skinny, teenage, redheaded boy who had to have his father drive him out to Langtry to make his first trip to Alterna Land.

How about a book?

I've been toying around with the idea of an alterna book for some time now, and I think the idea you guys are talking about would be perfect. My original idea was for a coffee table book that would showcase the great variety in both w/c and c/b greybands. I'm not blowing smoke either; I'm a professional designer (specializing in print design) and I also do quite a bit of copy editing.

If anyone is interested in collaborating with me on a project like this we can talk more via e-mail. And don't worry; I will NOT rip off anyone's stories.

I've been kicking around the same idea for 30 years, just never got the total motivation.
