Shipping Chameleons

sned25271 May 16, 2007 01:26 AM

I need some advice concerning shipping 20 baby veileds. I have reptile shipping accounts but I have never shipped multiple chameleons. Should I use deli cups? How many to a deli cup? What setup do you recommend?

Depending upon the size of the Veileds you can probably get all twenty into one 15" x 7"x 9" box with 2 to a deli container. I ship ten lots in that size box. I've shipped a few 20 lots that way also. Be sure to pad the deli container with paper towels or something so that you'll cut down on the number of times they clonk their heads together. Its better that you pack them tightly together rather than allowing them to get slung around. Lay a section of folded newpaper over the top to reduce bouncing also. Good Luck.
