Thanks for all the great tips on my BRB! yesterday i went crazy at petsmart 40G terranium with about 75% of the top closed and a damp towel over the remaining amount. humidity has stayed at 90% and temp at 75.

she shed last night in her new cage so i think i did something right. Still a little nippy but ima showing her ima not afraid and taking like a man. but damn she can sting.

I took a bunch of pics of the new cage and my BRB bt im kind of stupid when i comes to computers and cant figure out how to post the pics LOL.

Well she is a light orange with great looking saddles she is about 45" but kind if hard to make her stay still to ge the length.

would love to post pics. if someone could tell me how i would be very happy!!

TY

Sounds like you're on the right track, cpongrats and don't hesitate to come back and ask more Q's!!!

Pic posting 101:

Since your posting here on KS, you already have a pic hosting account. At the top of the page there is a "Photos" tab, click on that. Then login with your KS info if not already logged in.

Once logged in you can click on "upload Photos"

If you have multiple photos to load, there is a click here tab which will allow you to load up to 6 photos at once.

Before you can upload any pics, there is a size limitation in KS so you will have to make sure they are small enough. Basic limit is 1200 x 1028 pixels. One quick way to resize is to open the pic with Microsoft photo editor. Right click on file then click open with then Microsoft photo editor (also could be your default for open) Once open, I simply set view at 100%. Then click on image-resize. Then play with the buttons in that window until the pic fits in your full screen. Also if you want, before sizing down, you can play with the image-crop function to chop off unwanted portions.

Once you have your pics uploaded, there are two simple ways to display them in a post. There is a section below the text where you can select up to three pics for showing (not my favorite) OR, you can put them directly in your text by putting imaging tags around the pic URL.

For each pic you upload, go to photos, your photos, open the pic. Depending on size, there may also be a view larger image button. Once you have the pic on screen, right click on pic then properties. Copy the Address (URL) into any spreadsheet or word processing document you use.
Example: http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/773562006_05_13_Savannah_evening.JPG.jpg

Add imaging tags in front and behind that url (shown in example with spaces added so it won't actually work:

[i mg]http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/773562006_05_13_Savannah_evening.JPG.jpg[/i mg]

And one more time without the spaces and voila, pic in your post:

You can put as many of these tagged URL addresses as you want, I've literally put over a hundred in one post before talk about dial up death

No problem on the help.

I am new into herps and BRB's, and I have received a lot of help from here. I am no expert, but I have tried to learn as much as I can from the experts.

Just last night I went by a pet store, and they kept their brb's like normal boids - temps and humidity. They were born within a week of the 06 male I picked up from Jeff, but the ones in the store were a lot smaller - at least 25 to 30%. I felt sorry for the animals.

Sorry to say that's not an uncommon occurance, pet shops keeping BRB's in substandard (for BRB's) conditions. I've sold to pet shops and given them detailed info and instructions only to get called several weeks later "he's never eaten for us and is not looking good" went to the store to find him in a screen topped tank, all dehydrated. He turned around within a week back in his drawer and ate and recovered fine. At least until he went back....don't know what happened after that but they did have a more suitable enclosure for him.
