I know this may seem like a silly question to some but how long can an egg stay in the nesting box once layed before getting tranfered to an incubator?

i would say maybe 24 hours as long as it doesnt go below 75 degrees but i never wanted to try it. i havent read anything on it either so i could be wrong.
THanks... i am just over worried we notice my females with eggs last night so we set everything up but both my husband and i work during the day so no one is home to check on them.
yeah if you check them befor you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning you should be fine. thats how i do it anyways. if you catch them a little late and they are kinda sunken in or indented it is probably because they are infertile or they are dry. if they are dry you can get a wet paper towel, not dripping, and drape it over the eggs but not touching them. leave it on till it dries and you should notice an improvement in your eggs.
