PHEve May 16, 2007 02:54 PM

Kelly here is an egg thats due to hatch this weekend early next week, notice the darker color starting to show up, even on the nose of the one behind it, is this what you are seeing or close to it?

Collared egg about 50 days old...

Kind of I guess, the underside of my eggs are that colour, I noticed when I transferred them yesterday....... this is them the first pic is of the ones at 31 days (all bright white with no sign of grey)

the second pic is the ones that are at 26 days, with grey markings. The one to the bottom right is the one that had the mould so ignore that, its powder not mould you can see......

I see the two in the middle seem to have dents, I would just see what happens, but to me, at least on my monitor, your vermiculite looks pretty wet! Is it as wet as it is appearing, LOL

No I squeezed it good and proper, it dint drip at all once I was done with it. The tub had droplets as you can see too tho because I rinsed it before putting the vermiculite in

Then just wait it out, Ya know no matter how hard ANY of us try, sometimes we lose some eggs. Hopefully all of yours will be fine and hatch.

You have done all you can to keep them safe, including using the powder on the one. That's the best we can do, Your eggs looked good to me in the pics!

Until the lil cricket crunchers hatch I guess we all are a bit
anxious.

I have about 25 eggs I'm looking in on everyday so far, and it feels like I'm the mother hen sitting on them, other words it feels like it is up to me/us to take care of our collareds/ or other lizards little eggs, and see that they get into the world (since we steal their eggs.)

If they only KNEW how hard we really do try, and how much we REALLY do care about them.

did you say 25 eggs??? Wow, you will be pretty busy I'd say :O)

I have two leopard gecko eggs incubating. One from the first cluth (I believe is bad) and she laid a second cluth in about twenty days...one was busted open in her water bowl and the other was sitting in the water. I think it is fine though...great pink disc is visible and the egg was only there for a few minutes at most. We had just checked on her.

PHEve May 17, 2007 11:09 AM

Hahahhaa, Congratulations on the leopard gecko eggs, Bet the kids are very eggcited about them Thats COOL, let me know when they hatch, post some pics

Yeah I have 25 eggs, 6 are L. stellio (black agama) eggs, but the rest are aquaflame, texas/aquaflame, C. vestigium and Hybrid C.bicinctores/C. vestigium . I'm waiting on the yeller girls to see if their eggs will be fertile, I have 5 yellows gravid.??? Have to see. Father could be Mohawk or Nashoba has gotten a bit feisty too.

Also Ponca one of your flame girls is gravid by Squashy. Told Kelly I just ordered another incubator, I'm on full. Guess I should be "BASKING" in happiness, but not until I see th lil faces, LOL
I will need many bugs, containers, lights, LMAO
