Eggbound????

kevine May 16, 2007 04:34 PM

One of my kings layed 10 eggs in her nestbox on Monday. She also layed what I assume to be a slug, outside the nest box, it looked and had the consistency of clear taffy. I took her out today to look at her and I believe I can feel three more eggs inside her. Also tried to feed her today and she did not eat and she's still roaming the cage as if looking for a place to lay. Any suggestions or ideas on what I should do, if anything. Thanks. Kevin

Give her a nesting box. She may pass them on her own.
If she doesn't, take her to a vet - but I don't know how long to wait.

Try soaking her in luke warm water.
