My "Semi-CircleBack"

eminart May 17, 2007 12:43 AM

Here's a couple of pics of one of my hatchlings. This is one of my favorites. She's not nearly as nice of a "circleback" as the one that Richard_Fisher posted, but she does have similar characteristics.

I hope I"m getting this right.. Is this kind of like getting a jungle where its just a pattern mutation that can be in any clutch.. or is this its own morph like getting a pastel or something. Hope this makes sense..

I don't think it's any special "morph". I think it's just a cool (in my opinion) pattern variation. It might be genetic, I don't know. I would guess you'd have a better chance of getting one from two parents with similar markings than you would just any two snakes, but I could be wrong. I think it's actually a fairly common pattern though.

The other example in an earlier post was especially nice. It combined the circles with a nice orange color.

i was just wondering how much this affected the price. How much would one probably go for?

Probably not at all, unless you have a really nice one like was posted earlier this week. Mine came in a bag with 9 other female hatchlings. I don't think they're all that unusual or I doubt I would have gotten her. I was also at a reptile show today and I saw at least one other hatchling there with similar markings.
