Shipment of W/C Rainbows came in

BRB_Russ May 17, 2007 01:50 PM

So i was hanging out at my local pet store (Incredible Pets) and i am very good friends with the Reptile manager. So as i am there a shipment came in from guyana and the store owner was there. I helped them unload snakes etc

They got

68 redfoot/yellowfoot tortises
4-6 Guyana Redtail Boas (moderatly sized)
2 cool lookinn Amazon tree boas
AND!!!

they got 4 RainbowS!!!!!

they have 3 very big rainbows and 1 smaller one, one of them is definatly over 5' and has a lot of size on it. However they are all wild caught and imported from guana. I asked before i saw them if they were BRB's or GRB's (guyana) and he said they were Guyana Rainbows . . now i allways thought the Guyanas were duller then BRB's but these guys looked more like Peruvians. . with the dark black outlines etc. . . Also what as wierd is they had hardly any cresents and instead of getting the red/orange inside of the cresents on the side it was like a yellowish color . . . Have you guys ever seen this? From the side it looked like a normal BRB without much of a cresent and in the black circle was yellow splotches. .. .

anyhow it was pretty cool and im thinking in a few days i might go over and get some pictures of them and post them up as they are very very good looking, no obvious scarring or anything.

I love the look of an adult BRB, it makes me wish mine was bigger then it is.

Oh well i thought i would share it was pretty cool, i was exited and they arnt even my snakes!

I can't wait to see the pics Russ and their is nothing wrong with getting excited over pets that aren't yours cuz I get really excited when I go to Dave's collection page and drool over his almost like they were mine. Same thing when I go to my local zoo which hasn't been the same since the hurricane but maybe one day soon it will be but thanks for sharing the enthusiasm with us now go get those pics

Russ,
.....Incredible Pets already has an ad for them in the classifieds. The one they have pictured is a BRB and looks fairly good for a recent import. The color is a little dark but they usually lighten up after some good meals and a few sheds. The important thing is that the head looks clean with no wounds or scars. If I was in the store there I would probably pick out a female to buy.
