rschiles May 17, 2007 04:14 PM

Well its been 2 days since i have seen my BRB since ive put her into her new cage and when i came home she had her head poking out of her moss rock. thought it looked cool so i took a pic.

i got called to go back to iraq so my big moss box and stand got kindof postponed till i get back from school for my new job! hopefully my wife can take care of her

Mine do that exact same thing, mold a tunnel in the moss and sit inside with just the tip of their nose showing. That is until I dangle a rat near the opening. You've never seen a snake strike until you see one come flying out of a small hole like that after a rat. IMO is probably more representative of a natural feeding for an ambush predator.

That's difficult! It's hard to be apart from your spouse, especially when you're worried about them!

I'll pray that you come home safely, soon, and that your wife gets the support she needs.

I wish this war was over!!!

phrase but since it is a little different from the one I use I guess it is ok. I use that phrase to often especially when I warn my friends and family of the action and reaction method but not applying to herps though. I like to say "I can a horse's head underwater but I can't make it drink" cuz they often don't listen to me but not everyone wants to be helped though

I can hold a horse's head underwater but I can't make it drink

rainbowsrus May 18, 2007 11:34 AM

you're basically mean, holding that poor orses head under water. Just hope the spca or peta don't get ahold of you...you bad man you!!

I just lead it to water and let it drink, much more humane!!

Thank you for your service. My time in Iraq in 1991 was pretty tame compared to what you have seen there. I can take care of your BRB while you are gone if you need it. If not be sure and tell your wife to come to us here on the forum for any snake help.
Jeff
