I see people posting pics of potential Harliquins that have the blushing..but I thought Harliquins had lateral, kind of horizontal patches too?

Is this true or can Harliquins only have flames?

I really havent followed this trait and there are SOOOO many to follow these days!

Thanks,

Alan

This animal must be genetic as it has the exact same pattern as it's "normal" mother, father is a pastel. I had thought it was a harlequin but as I have looked at phantoms more and more I am not sure if the pattern is more like it. Anyway, he has many visual traits of both.

Do you have any more pics?

Here are a few from a clutch that recently crawled out of my incubator.

Harlequins and Phantoms both have alot of "floating donuts " on the sides much like a classic Cinnamon has, both morphs often times have "stand out hooks and Stripes" on the back as well, this animal does NOT exhibit the side pattern of a Harlequin nor a Phantom the way I see it.. I have both Phantom looking animals that are genetic (Mystics) as well as a classic looking adult female Harlequin (unproven so far , actually bred to my Mystic line 7 eggs cooking now) and neither of those lines would produce baby Pastels that look like that if they actually were double codoms, maybe if they were just hitting on the Pastel side , but NOT if they hit on both genes.. This Pastel is different but I highly doubt it has anything to do with either of those morphs, I'd like to see a pic of mom , that would say alot as to what it may instead be I think.
