Most Bloods are pretty nippy. Trust me with time and patience they will come around . Let him-her adapt for a few weeks and leave it alone..then start handling it for short periods of time. Eventually they will start to become less nippy although always wary. Im a firm believer that if you show any kind of fear or hesitation they're more likely to bite you...a few bites here and there wont kill ya...just dont jerk your hand away or you can hurt them ...whats a few bites here and there and a couple of stitches. It's not like their venomous..hehe.Good luck!

ok thanks, yea i know i've had ball pythons for over 5 yrs but the only ones that have been nippy were babies...which er arn't quite 1 1/2 ft lol

^_^ thanks again

Blood pythons eventually become really good snakes, w time. Thats why theres a select few, that love the hell out of them(including me). Dont worry I have some 7 ft WC boas that take a piece of my hand, every once in awhile. Don't even need band aids. Shouldn't be too bad.

I would like to add that your Borneo is actually a Sumatran blood python, I am pretty sure of it.

I bought my Sumatran Blood as a Borneo..but I knew the whole time. The guy said "Bloods are 140 and borneos are 80". I asked if I could see a borneo and he handed me this maroonish-blood baby. I said "yeah, Ill take it".
Yeah, I screwed the reptile shop. But you know what? I dont care. They kept their animals like crap. Dirty cages etc. Not ditry enough that ASPCA people could do anything about, but dirty enouhg that I didn't have a problem in telling him what he should do.
