here are some pics of a few of my latest additions. All 3 came from Gulf Coast Reptiles. The yb is from a Horenstein (sp) line yb, the vanilla female is well of course from their line and the black pastel is from their line (the first and original line) bred into their high gold line (the same line they bred into the citrus ghost). Hope you like them.

P.S. The pic of the vanilla is horrible and doesn't show her true colors. I have no idea how to capture them on camera but will keep trying.

........vanillas produced from a super vanilla have a more extreme apperance than say ones produced from a vanilla X normal breeding? Congrats on picking up those three gems, and I wonder what a Super Vanilla Ivory would look like, pretty sweet I bet.

hmmm, that's a tough one. In general I think the vanillas produced by super vanilla x vanilla tend to be nicer than let's say a vanilla x normal. But I think a major contributor to this is the normal used and the normal gene involved in the regular vanilla sorta like a pastel bred to a pretty normal produces prettier pastels. With that said our female is the result of super vanilla x vanilla but our male is the result of vanilla x vanilla and both are stunning. I have paired our vanilla up with a cinny and pastel female this year but not sure if either are going to take . I also put him with a couple of other females so hopefully we can get a few clutches of vanillas this year, but none yet and haven't even had an ovulation from any of the females even though he bred them vigorously. I think I may not have dropped the temps enough (only went down to 79)even though some say you don't need to go that low, so we'll see in a couple of months.

Now for the other part, I just want to see what the vanilla yb, super vanilla yb, super vanilla pastel, and vanilla super pastel looks like.

Vanilla X cinny would be an interesting combo. One more for the list would be super vanilla super pastel. Good luck, hope you get some clutches especially from the cinny!

Kevin,
Gulf Coast has done the Vanilla x Cinny. I believe they are calling it a Brass Ball. I can't for the life of me remember where I saw the pic, but it is out there somewhere. Pretty good looking animal too.
