I have a year old pastel boa constrictor. I have never been biten by her before until last week. She then bit me again two days later. I just moved cities and maybe she is still getting accustomed to the new location? I am not sure. Any advise? Shall I just keep trying to handle her as much as possible? I appreciate any advise. Thanks for your interest.

Yup ! your doing fine
It will take more time for you to adjust to your animals habits, and how it acts(likes/dislikes)on a daily weekly basis.
Some/most get cranky when their hungry, going into a shed cycle and sometimes "just because" !
Be patient and take good care of it.

Best Of Luck

Thanks for your advise! Hopefully a little TLC every day is all she'll need.

In the meantime, I have been reading that regualar feeding is a must, (not at differnt intervals) and not to put back in cage right away when she stikes.

Thanks again for your help.

You say you "just" moved to a new city. How long is "just" ? Your boa could very well be adjusting to the new place. I personally would give her an adjustment period of at least a couple weeks, where I didn't handle her daily. (actually, I'd leave her completely be for a couple weeks myself.)

New smells, new vibrations (=sounds), are probably making her jittery.

She'll come around, be patient.
