Pregnant Again?? With Who???

ecrowell May 18, 2007 01:49 AM

My female beardie (over 2 years old) layed her first eggs in early April. Yesterday she layed eggs again but hasn't been with a male dragon since before the first clutch of eggs. I guess these are infertile eggs, but the question arises. Should I expect eggs again 6 weeks from now? What made her produce eggs again? Could the possible her just seeing the male be a problem. We let the male run around sometimes and cover the females terrarium, but sometimes Charlie finds a place not covered too well and can see her. Thanks, Ed

Dragons can store sperm. Therefore, you can have multiple clutches of fertile eggs from just one mating. She could have as many a 6 or 7 clutches in one season. You'll just have to wait and see.

It's amazing how so many gaps are left out when you do research. Anyways I am not in it for the money. Thanks for being a Jerk!!

Jeez. Jakentbc did you really find it necessary or helpful to make that kind of comment? Sorry ecrowell.

I've read a few posts from before and it seems like he has made quite a few sarcasstic remarks like this before. He wants people to be informed on what they are doing but they come here to a place to get information and then he attacks them. Good job!

i guess being a jerk calls for more attention these days than being lazy.

sorry for my comment(s).

one of my firm beliefs is that there are too many people breeding breaded dragons....thats why i stopped doing it. I've seen and heard of so many mistreated baby dragons because the person breeding them was "in it for the money". I just assumed that you were one of those people...so, i appoligize sincerely.
