Dave....BCI white scale close up

Miloradovich May 18, 2007 02:24 PM

Dave,
Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday, left my camera at work Wednesday night.
Anyway here is a close up shot of two of the scales that turned light on my het albino. From what I was told this is what I take to be the marker. She had these light scales show up sporatically throughout her body. These started showing up when she was about year and half old. A lot of BCI will have light scales interspersed where the sides meet the belly but I was told to watch for these higher up in her sides and back.
Suprisingly it was very difficult to take a picture of. Two far away, the scales didn't stand out well and too close the flash would wash out the surrounding scales. I finally turned the flash off and held my breath while I released the shutter. (Probably didn't help that she is at the front end of a shed cycle either)

And since this is the Rainbow Forum... here is a pic of a female that I took last night and thought came out pretty well.

the pics, I see what you mean by white scales, now I'll have to look at some of my het albinos and see if they have the marker. Maube some of my younger ones with headlights will start showing the scale marker as well?

And the BRB pic is very nice too!!
