I would wait until at least 25% at the minimum have pipped on their own. I often wait until half have hatched before I pip the rest. This year, I may not bother until the last few haven't hatched in our carpet clutches. They do just fine without our meddling. And also, we've had carpets go past day 65 even so don't stress it. I bet any morning now, you'll wake up and check on them and you'll be doing the happy happy snake hatching dance!

I always like to hear from the pros when something like this comes up.

Thanks
Tom

WOW, 65 days...you must have been crawling out of your skin!!! I don't think I could have live through that stress. No fun at all. Was that because of low temps or something?

Hi, no the total days were 57, there are 5 already sticking their heads out. The temps were 88.5 to 90.3 I think on average it was about 89F. But I am glad they are starting to come out. I will post pictures soon.

Oh, I meant the comment on the temperature to go to Yasser about the clutch he said went 65 days. Yeah, I have had some go 57...not fun, but for sure not too out of the ordinary. 65 would have me worrying, and FOR SURE slitting.

Congrats by the way on the little ones sticking their heads out now... I am sure you are pretty stoked!!! Not many things in life better than watching pythons hatch out!!!

cut slits, 2 are showing their little heads. Thanks Yasser for your suggestion. I was already going to wait but wanted to hear pros opinions. It's good to hear from those who have been in it longer.

Thanks
Tom
