Whoa! That's a knock-your-socks-off enchi! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL animal. Are Enchi pastels dominant like regular pastels?

They are like Pastels in the fact that there is a Super which is improving the overall appearance of the animal. It also seems that some of the nicer Enchis make nicer babies...... It is a color and pattern mutation.
Great mutation to say the least!

Hereditary good looks and... codom? genetics. How do you draw the line between codom and dom? Dominant meaning that it appears before and above all else, blocking out any other mutation/normal appearance, with codominant meaning that other traits (of codom/recessive nature) are equally visible?
The prettier the parents, the prettier the babies, is the gist of what you said though.
Thank you much! You should post more pics of your enchis on your website - last time I visited I didn't see anything all like the snake posted, which is supposedly one of YOUR snakes! If you've got it, flaunt it!

Dominant - If you breed an Enchi to a normal...every egg has a 50% chance of being and Enchi.
Co-Dominant - If you breed two enchis together they can produce a 'super' form...just like pastel x pastel breedings can produce super pastels.
I'v got a few Enchis here, and there is a good example of one on the site but this is kind of a nice pic so I will add it also. I don't flaunt everything I have...it would be rude and there are too many snakes

Co-dominant and dominant are the same thing, then? A dominant gene is the capital letter in a punnett square - take Normal, which we'll call NN. NN x PN (normal with pastel) means you have a 50% chance of getting a pastel. Pastel then would be dominant, since it appears OVER the normal gene, which is also dominant since it appears over recessive genes. Er, wait.
Superpastel = dominant form, since it is the expression of the homozygous pastel genes. A "pure" pastel, with no normal color genes. Meaning that it's not really the "super", it's just...it's like the red pea plant in Mendel's experiments*. Red plant white plant = pink plant. The super is the red plant, the normal is the white - combined, they make a pink plant, or a pastel.
Or am I completely off? Thanks for humoring me so far, lol.

* Mendel's experiments, in case I was confusing - he's the guy who did the first genetic experiments with pea plants, based on their flower colors. When I say "red pea plant" I mean a pea plant with red flowers.
