many years ago Don mentioned to me that he had never found an alterna on a rock cut, so I took him with me to see if we could rectify the situation.
We were 6-7 miles W. of Langtry and hadn't seen anything. We were working our way down a hill where the cuts on the N. side of the road got smaller and smaller until, near the bottom of the hill, there was a cut that was maybe 3' high. Don questioned the feasibilty of shining such a small cut and i told him chances were just as good there. So, he shined the light on the cut and almost immediately BINGO! I knew immediately what it was, but Don jumped out yelling TRIMORPHODON, TRIMORPHODON. Maybe it was because the name had his name in it? Anyway, he picked it up and started walking back to the car, still saying "Trimorphodon." I told him it was a blair's but he still maintained it was a Trimorph. Finally, when he saw it in the headlights, he admitted it was a blair's, albeit a rather unattractive subadult male. You still have it, Don?
